Come, let us join our friends above, That have obtained the prize; And on the eagle wings of love, To joys celestial rise. Chorus: O bring the promised day, Fly swift around ye wheels of time And bring the promised day. Let all the saints terrestrial sing, With those to glory gone; For all the servants of our King, In heav'n and earth are one. (Chorus) One family we dwell in Him, One church above beneath; Though now divided by the stream, The narrow stream of death. (Chorus) Religion should your thoughts engage While in your youthful bloom; 'Twill fit you for declining age, And always banish gloom. (Chorus) O, may our hearts by grace renewed, Be the Redeemer's throne And with our stubborn will subdued, His government shall own. (Chorus) Oh! mighty God our fleeting days Thy lasting favors share, And of the bounties of Thy grace Receive from year to year. (Chorus) One army of the living God, To His command we bow; Part of His host have crossed the flood, And part are crossing now. (Chorus)
