What can I do for my dear King, Who died upon the tree? Can I to Him some tribute bring, For justifying me? Dear Lord, I give this life to Thee, O mould it as Thou wilt; Take it, dear Lord, and let me be Secure from ev'ry guilt. My friends are on the downward road, Held by sin's awful chain; Struggling beneath a heavy load, Of trouble, grief and pain. O may I by some word or deed, Show them into the light; I'll go dear Lord, where you may lead At morning, noon or night. The day will not be very long, Until my time shall come; I pray Thee Saviour, make me strong, To lead my comrades home. If I can lead one soul above How happy I would be; To live and e'er enjoy Thy love Through all eternity.
